Non Sticky lady ‘s Finger Poriyal
Stickyness in Vendaikai, is a challenge for us to cook it in less oil. Follow simple tips to make it non sticky and greenish.
Always wash Vendaikai, dry it in sunlight or wipe the water completely, before cutting. It should be dry. Cutting board, knife, hands also should be dry. Even drops of water will make it more sticky while cooking.
Cook along a tbs spoon of Curd, to remove Stickyness completely.
To buy stainless steel kadai shown in the video
Vendaikai – 1/2 kg
Onion – 1
Green chilli – 2
Curd – 1 tbs
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chill powder – 1/2 tsp
Coconut – 1 tbs
Oil, mustard seeds, Ulundu Dhal, Gram Dhal, curry and coriander leaves.
Wash and dry the vegetable. Chop finely. In oil fry mustard seeds, dhals, add onion, green chilli, curry leaves fry for a minute. Add vegetable, mix well, add salt cook in low flame for 2 minutes. It becomes sticky, now add Curd, mix well. It becomes more sticky, don’t worry, close and cook for 5 minutes in low flame. Turn it, mix in between. Add turmeric, chilli powders, mix close and cook for another 5 minutes in low flame. Now it will be cooked and become non sticky. Add coriander leaves, Coconut, mix, switch off. Greenish non sticky Vendaikai poriyal is ready.
